Piédestal

This first edition is a food interpretation of six artworks exhibited at the group show in Blaa Galleri in December 2018.
Kunst Cantine explores the forms of podiums to create trivial sculptures with a tray, a cooking pot or a pitcher to display food.

The menu is decomposed in six ingredients that make up a main dish and a dessert. Each of them are freely inspired by the colours, the textures, or the atmosphere of the chosen artworks. The guests are invited to walk through the gallery and “taste” the art present in the two rooms.

If the podiums try to be part of the gallery as sculptural elements, the service aims to demystify the installation.
Wearing traditional cantine blouses, Louise, Anne and Clémence serve the soup with a ladle, cut the dill with kitchen scisors, and break the bagels with their hands.
